Obituary for Marjorie Evadna "Eve" Flesher (Lanius)

Marjorie Evadna Flesher (Eve), age 93 of Minneapolis, MN, died peacefully in her sleep on February 2, 2019. Eve had been residing at the Jones Harrison Residence.

Eve was born on July 30, 1925, near Havre, Montana, the first daughter of Lloyd and Marjorie Lanius. After graduating from Havre High School, she immediately moved to Los Angeles, CA, to enlist to serve her country; World War II ended before she was accepted. While in California, Eve met her future husband, Paul E. Flesher. Paul and Eve were married on May 1, 1947 and lived together until he passed in 2012.

Eve’s passions were cooking, baking and gardening. Eve & Paul also loved entertaining and traveling. Most of all, Eve was dedicated to her family. She lived her life with generosity, grace and a great sense of humor; she will be missed by all who knew her.

Eve was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanne Marie Tierney, her husband, Paul; brothers, Bill, Lloyd, Lawrence, and sister, Elaine. She is survived by her children, Ralph (Mary), Kevin (Elena), Paul (Cindee), Anne, Patrick (Jean); 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

A private funeral Mass will be held at St. Leonard’s of Port Maurice Catholic Church in South Minneapolis, on Saturday, February 9, 2019 with burial at Ft. Snelling on Monday, February 11, 2019. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Jones Harrison Residence or the American Cancer Society.
